Nano Banana, Nano Banana Pro, and where the mark lands

Nano Banana is Gemini 2.5 Flash Image and Nano Banana Pro is Gemini 3 Pro Image. Both place the sparkle in the bottom right corner, but the size and inset depend on the model and the resolution you generated at.

The logo does not grow with the image, so on a 4k picture it covers a much smaller share of the frame. A few sizes use a deeper inset than their tier suggests, and the detector knows about those too. Tips that save a second pass

Most failures come from something done to the file before it reached the tool.

Clean before you crop

The tool finds the mark from the image size. Crop or resize first and the mark is no longer where that size says it should be, so the file comes back unchanged. Clean first, then edit.

Do not feed a marked image back in

If you upload a watermarked picture to Nano Banana for another round of edits, the model can redraw the old sparkle as part of the new picture. It is then ordinary picture content rather than a blended mark, and it cannot be solved away. Clean the source before you reuse it.

Use the original download

Save the image from Gemini rather than screenshotting it. A screenshot is rescaled and recompressed, which softens the mark enough to fail the confidence check.

Questions

Does it work with Nano Banana Pro?
Yes. Nano Banana Pro images use the Gemini 3 layouts, which the detector checks first, and it falls back to the older layouts for files made before Google changed them.
Is there a limit on how many images I can clean?
No. There is no quota, no account and no payment. Large batches simply take a second or so per image.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Every image is cleaned inside your browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server.
Why is the result a PNG?
PNG is lossless, so the only pixels that differ from your original are the ones that were under the mark. Saving back to JPEG would recompress the whole picture.
Does it remove SynthID from Nano Banana images?
No. SynthID is an invisible signal embedded throughout the image. This tool removes only the visible sparkle. More on the difference.
What if an image comes back unchanged?
The tool could not confirm a Gemini mark, usually because the image was cropped, resized or screenshotted. Each cause and its fix.
