Remove the Gemini logo from an image.

How to remove the Gemini logo from an image

Which logo this removes
Gemini draws the same sparkle on every image it generates, in a fixed place that depends on the image size. That predictability is what makes an exact removal possible.
Handled
- The Gemini sparkle at 48 px and 96 px, and the scaled sizes between them
- The newer outline versions on light and dark backgrounds
- Logos pushed further in from the corner on some newer sizes
- Images from the Gemini app, Nano Banana and Nano Banana Pro
Not handled
- SynthID, the invisible watermark inside the pixels, which is a separate system
- Text, stickers or logos you or someone else added afterwards
- A logo that was screenshotted, cropped or resized after download, which moves it off its known position
Why not just crop it, or use an eraser?
Both work, after a fashion. Both cost you something this does not.
Cropping
The logo sits 32 to 192 pixels in from the corner depending on the size, so cropping it out removes a band along two edges and changes the aspect ratio you asked Gemini for. On a 1024 pixel square that is up to a tenth of the picture.
Eraser and generative fill
A phone eraser or an AI fill invents new pixels to cover the logo. On a flat sky that is fine. On skin, fabric or text it leaves a smudge, because the texture it paints is a guess.
What this does instead
Gemini blends its logo over the picture with a known transparency, so the blend can be run backwards. The grain, edges and colours that were under the logo come back as they were. The longer comparison has the detail.
If the logo is still there afterwards
The tool hands your image back untouched, with a note, when it cannot confirm the logo. It will not smear a corner it is unsure about. The usual reasons are few.
It is a screenshot
A screenshot is scaled to your screen and recompressed, so the logo is no longer the size or sharpness Gemini drew it at. Download the original image from Gemini instead and use that.
It was cropped or resized
Any edit that changes the dimensions moves the logo away from where Gemini puts it for that size. Clean the image first, then crop or resize it.
It was saved many times
Each round of JPEG compression blurs the logo edges a little more. The first download from Gemini gives the cleanest result. More on each case.
